“Kay’s coaching has brought me clarity more than once when I was in the “fog” of relational conflict.  She is an adept listener and truly cares about the people involved while understanding the heart of the situation. I am grateful to have benefited from her coaching and highly recommend her.” LMJ

Career #1 is Motherhood. Like every other mom, I believe I have the most wonderful children on the planet (but, I really do).  I am a follower of Jesus Christ,  His amazing grace and power guide my life every day.

that gives them humiliating experience. Although I am Georgia girl at heart (Go Bulldogs!) , I’ve lived in Orlando, Florida for 22 years. My two heaven-on-earth places areand the Colorado Rockies. I come from Italian/Irish roots so I see just about everything as a reason for celebrating (sometimes to the chagrin of my family!) I’ve been a Masters rower with the Orlando Area Rowing Society  for 16 years and I feel blessed to live where I can row all year long. I’m a water-color-painter-wanna-be so one of my favorite apps is Paper. A fervent lover of poetry, good friends, and great conversations, I wholehearted believe in the therapeutic properties of chocolate! Never being one to accept negative interactions between people as simply part of the status quo,I went back to school to study for Career #2.

Now I help women learn how to keep talking in stressful conversations while maintaining their self-respect and compassion.

Professional Bio:
A psychologist with a Masters degree in education and a PhD in conflict management studies, I’ve been active in the professional conflict resolution community for 13 years as a researcher, practitioner, and educator.

In addition to maintaining my private conflict communication coaching practice, I’ve conducted workshops, breakout sessions, and seminars on clear one-on-one communication skills for successful conflict management in both professional and faith-based contexts, and am an experienced national conference presenter and speaker on this topic.

Coming from a helping profession background, I’m also a veteran volunteer coach and instructor with various Orlando community non-profits, and have piloted a local conflict communication program with recovering trafficked women.
